Bet On When POTUS Will Have His Twitter Taken Away

That’s the political betting odds question being posed by oddsmakers at several legal sports betting sites after yet another incident in which POTUS has used Twitter to unleash another of his tirades.

President Trump turned to his favorite social media platform following a G20 Summit incident in which he allowed his daughter, Ivanka Trump, to take his seat next to world leaders. The move came to light after Russian Official Svetlana Lukash tweeted a picture of Ivanka sitting in her father’s seat next to World Leaders, including German Chancellor Angela Merkel, British Prime Minister Theresa May, and President of The People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping. The tweet has since been deleted.

Though unorthodox for a family member with no political experience to take the seat, it is not uncalled for, as even Angela Merkel pointed out that this is “in line with what other delegations do” when they need to step out during the meetings. But it was Donald Trump’s Twitter tirade that got the ball rolling.

He was attempting to defend his decision to allow Ivanka to take his place. Trump Tweeted: “When I left Conference Room for short meetings with Japan and other countries, I asked Ivanka to hold the seat. Very Standard. Angela M agrees!”

His typical name-dropping occurred and it looked like he might end it there. But Trump couldn’t leave it at that, and fifteen minutes later, opened fire on his former opponent and her daughter, tweeting: “if Chelsea Clinton were asked to hold the seat for her mother, as her mother gave out country away, the Fake News would say CHELSEA FOR PRES!”

The cheap shot aroused many responses, some in defense of but most in opposition to what POTUS had to say about the former first daughter. Chelsea Clinton was quick to respond: “Would never have occurred to my mother or my father to ask me. Were you giving our country away? Hoping not.”

This is hardly the first time that Pres. Trump has lashed out via Twitter. Just last week he was under fire for calling out Morning Joe CoHost Mika Brzezinski, calling her “dumb as a rock” and “low IQ Crazy Mika”, while making comments about her “bleeding badly from a face-lift”.

Trump has been a viral tweeter since the inception of the social media platform, taking advantage of its 140 character limit in order to come up with short, scathing remarks about world leaders, politicians, and celebrities, as well as to boast about himself. Before, it was the slightly eccentric rantings of a former celebrity/businessman.

Today they are the infantile ravings of a man who is cheapening the position of the Oval Office, one tweet at a time. The New York Times has actually put together a running list of the people, places, and things that Donald Trump has insulted via Twitter since announcing his candidacy for president, which you can check out here: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2016/01/28/upshot/donald-trump-twitter-insults.html?_r=0. This list includes The Associated Press, Multiple News Outlets (like ABC News, CNN, and Meet the Press, as well as Glen Beck’s talk show and Fox News), literally anyone who ran against him for president, anyone who spoke out against him, or anyone even remotely associated with someone who has run against him/said something negative about him.

Basically what these tweets lead to is one big temper tantrum thrown by an overgrown baby who is used to getting what he wants. I mean, is it any wonder that we’re just now realizing that POTUS is an anagram for pouts? Because that seems to be all Trump wants to do online. The rants are more akin to what a high school student would put online, rather than what the leader of the free world should be sending out for millions of people to read.
